RNW Fire Services was established in November 2010 to provide installation and servicing of fire systems and equipment to clients throughout Adelaide & South Australia. Since then, we have established a solid reputation as a leader in the installation, maintenance and supply of fire protection solutions for clients in a wide variety of industries.
Our team has a high level of technical capability: known as being some of the most experienced people in the fire protection industry and are often called upon by others for their expertise. We adopt best practice in WHS and all our quality management systems, and use simPRO as part of our client management system.
RNW’s directors – Tim Knappstein, Barry Vanloo, Tony Carter and Justin Bunney – all have extensive careers in the fire industry, bringing years of experience and a commitment to quality in everything they do.
Tim Knappstein – General Manager
Tim established the Fire Protection Division of RNW Fire Services. This has proven to be a very successful integration with the Fire Detection and Alarms and Service Divisions of the business.
His focus is in maintaining close working relationships with Clients with an emphasis on Business Development.
Tim has 24 years experience in the Fire Protection Industry developing from the installation trade to Project Manager of numerous and varied projects. His experience and reputation in the industry is instrumental to the ongoing development of RNW Fire Services as General Manager.
Tony Carter – Project Manager
Tony has 24 years experience in the Fire Protection industry. He has vast experience in project management including multi-storey buildings, residential, education and institutional facilities, recreation, infrastructure and commercial fitouts.
He maintains close client relationships and strives to ensure smooth management of projects with attention to detail and fast responses to project requirements.
Tony has extensive knowledge in the programming and networking of commercial fire and evacuation systems and special hazard systems.
Barry Vanloo – Electrical Contracts Manager
With over 30 years experience in the Electrical and Fire Protection industry, Barry has managed numerous major Fire System contracts throughout South Australia and has been responsible for a team of over 15 Electricians.
His Technical and Project Management experience has seen Barry involved in many fields of Fire Protection Construction and Maintenance. Barry prides himself on a high level of Customer Service and Client satisfaction, with a prompt and responsive attitude.
Justin Bunney – Service Manager
Justin has 23 years experience in the Fire Protection industry. He completed his Trade as an Electrician working within the industry and has exposure to all aspects of Fire Protection Services through his roles as Project Manager, Electrical Supervisor and current position of Service Manager.
Justin has an excellent technical background and has been involved in many projects utilising networking, high level interfacing and advanced control philosophies. As Service Manager he has utilised his knowledge and experience in the development of the Service Division and Client relationships.
Peter McLeod – Senior Design Manager
Peter has a 45 years involvement in the Fire Protection industry in Australia, South East Asia and the Middle East in Consulting Engineering, Contracting and Construction Management.
Peter compliments RNW Fire Service’s Design and Construct capability with his proven design experience and technical expertise, with resultant benefits of cost effective solutions and added value for our clients.
